Trail Care
Our products are handcrafted in small batches using quality ingredients — just like the old days, when things were made to be used, not rushed.
With a little care, your soaps, candles and diffusers will last longer, perform better, and smell better too. This guide will help you get the very best from every piece you bring into your home.
Candle Care
Before lighting
Always trim your wooden wick to about ¼ inch before each burn.
This helps prevent soot, keeps the flame steady, and ensures an even burn.
When burning
Let your candle burn long enough for the wax to melt fully across the surface (this prevents tunnelling).
Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
Keep away from drafts, pets and little wranglers.
After burning
Gently knock off any charred wick pieces before relighting.
If your flame ever looks weak, trim and try again.
Tip: A proper wick trimmer makes this quick, clean and easy — we’ll be offering them in-store soon.
SOAP Care
Our soaps are naturally cured and free from harsh preservatives — which means they love to breathe.
To keep them firm and long-lasting:
Always place your soap on a well-draining soap dish.
Keep it out of standing water.
Allow it to dry fully between uses.
With good airflow, your soap will last significantly longer and stay beautifully scented.
Diffuser Care
Each scent diffuser bottle is supplied with 8 reeds, which is ideal for larger rooms, open-plan areas and high ceilings.
Place diffusers in well-ventilated areas but away from direct heat or sunlight.
Flip reeds every 7–10 days to refresh the scent.
If your scent ever begins to fade, replacing the reeds can bring it beautifully back to life. We are also currently in the process of offering refills to customers.
The more reeds you use, the stronger the scent throw.
How to adjust your scent strength:
Small rooms/bathrooms -> 4-5 reeds
Medium rooms/bedrooms -> 5-6 reeds
Large rooms/open spaces -> 7-8 reeds
GEAR Care
Our bracelets are handcrafted with real stones and durable leather cord — which means they move with you.
To keep them looking their best:
When not wearing, nestle your bracelet in the included tin, adorned with the beautiful New Mexico rising sun.
Avoid prolonged contact with water, lotions, or chemicals.
To tighten: Gently pull the two loose cord ends outward.
To loosen: Hold the knot and slide it toward the center of the bracelet
With a little care, your bracelet will stay beautiful, comfortable, and uniquely yours for years to come.
